Artist's Comments

Not so sure about the quality of this one but it's interesting none the less. This is the chrysalis of the Comon Oleander Butterfly. It is so shiny it looks like chrome and it reflects eveything around it, an amazing form of camouflage that makes it difficult to photograph with much success. The black mark is the reflection of my camera, with the pink mark next to that being my hand!

Wow...Really awsome shot, not to mention really neat little bit of info! Isn't it interesting how nature evolves?

Amazing! If it wasn't for the fact I knew you were a photographer, I would have sworn this was rendered - the chrome aspects of the cacoon really make it look other-worldy. It looks so alien and beautiful at the same time. :)
